Coal Regions and
the Energy Transformation

Track 2 Dialogues

Background

Beginning in 2021 JHCGA began the Coal Regions and Energy Transformation Track 2 dialogues.

These Track 2 (unofficial), people-to-people dialogues bring together community leaders, workers, and stakeholders from the largest coal-producing regions around regionally grounded strategies, case studies, and best practices in navigating the energy transformation. These subnational discussions aim to support economic diversification, workforce opportunities, and community-driven solutions in coal-producing regions to allow these regions to remain energy leaders and to thrive through ongoing traditional and new energy industries.
